DePaul Men Really on a Roll Now...
Don't let the headline fool you, DePaul is on a roll, but I'm sure they'd love to get off. DePaul suffered their tenth straight loss Tuesday night at Allstate arena, losing to Marquette 76-61. Junior guard Will Walker had a big game for the Blue Demons dropping 30 points while going 5 for 8 from beyond the arc. Unfortunately, only one other Blue Demon reached double digit scoring (Mac Koshwal). Walker also had a nice game this past Saturday when DePaul traveled to New Jersey to take on Rutgers. Walker had good shooting numbers and finished with 23 points, but DePaul was blown out 75-56. DePaul did not get the upset victory last week against Connecticut either. The Huskies, who are now ranked first in the nation, defeated DePaul 71-49. The losses are starting to really pile up and DePaul seems to have the bottom of the Big East pretty well in hand. But I have faith that next year will bring good things for this Blue Demon team. I don't know what the recruiting class is like for next year, but I feel that the return of sophomores Mac Koshwal and Dar Tucker will give this team a strong sense of leadership. In addition to that, Will Walker will be entering his senior season next year, and with the way that he is playing now, I am very excited to see him perform next year. But for now DePaul fans will have to wait this one out and keep cheering for that first Big East win.
