Last night, the DePaul Activities Board hosted a movie night in the student center’s multipurpose room. They showed Zach and Miri Make A Porno, followed by The Dark Knight. I was mostly going to catch Zach and Miri; I never got a chance to see it in theaters, but I’d seen Dark Knight a number of times since it was released last summer.

It’s a good thing I got there before the event was scheduled to start, because despite what all the posters advertising the event stated, Zach and Miri was the first of the films to be shown.

Though it was one of DAB’s simplest events, it was still a great time. I would only have two minor gripes with the night: on top of the two movies being shown in the opposite order that had been listed, the posters stated “Dinner will be served”… all I saw was some snacks and juice. Small problems aside, it seemed like everyone who showed up for the movies enjoyed themselves!

Also: DePaul’s 2009 Homecoming theme was announced last week: it’s “All Aboard the Demon Expess”, and the Homecoming Dance will be held February 28th at 8 PM.
