DePaul Loses Sixth Straight

The Blue Demons failed on another opportunity to pick up their first Big East win against the South Florida Bulls on Tuesday losing 70-61 and dropped their sixth straight game. South Florida blew out DePaul at Allstate on January 10 and they took care of the Blue Demons at home on Tuesday. Dominique Jones of South Florida, who is ranked 8th in the Big East in scoring, lead all scorers with 26 points while playing all 40 minutes. Dar Tucker, the 6th leading scorer in the Big East, lead DePaul with 19 points but only made 5 for 19 shooting. DePaul as a team only shot 36% from the field. DePaul center Mac Koshwal scored 17 and added 8 rebounds, and is ranked 3rd in the Big East in rebounding. Yet DePaul was out-rebounded 48-26. DePaul will travel to Marquette this Saturday to take on the Golden Eagles who are ranked 10th in the Nation. DePaul is currently sitting at the bottom of the Big East still searching for their first conference win. As a consolation, the Big East is one of the most difficult conferences in the country, boasting 8 of the top 25 teams in the nation. This means that despite DePaul fans having the worst team in their conference, they also have the opportunity to take the bus out to Allstate and witness some of the best teams in the country. Here are some of the big games DePaul will be hosting the rest of the year.

1/28 #3 UConn
2/3 #10 Marquette
2/7 # Pittsburgh
2/25 #21 Villanova
