Visual Arts and Digital Design Forum

In light of us talking about how important diversified skills have become in the journalism field, this event posting piqued my interest. DePaul is hosting a Visual Arts and Digital Design Forum for students interested in photography, film, digital cinema, graphic design, animation and web design.

Companies are much more likely to take on new employees who are multi-talented with multimedia - so if you’re a journalism student, it is no doubt a good skill set to bring into the working world.

There will be professionals from the field on hand at the forum displaying their work and offering round table critique on student work. This is a good networking opportunity if you’ve got visual arts in your repertoire, and it’s a chance to see how professionals are able to use their skills in their respective careers.

The forum is free for DePaul students and will be held on Tuesday, April 21 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. in the Lincoln Park Campus Student Center Room 120. As usual, you can pre-register online at eRecruiting or just walk up.
